Mike Skowronek is the founder and the Director of the Houston, Texas office.

Mike founded Strata Business Consultants in 2005 following a banking career that spanned over thirty years. He has extensive experience in all phases of commercial banking including operations, management and commercial lending. His career history includes positions as President and CEO, Director, Regional CEO, EVP and Chief Credit Officer for community and regional banks located in Texas.

Currently, Mike assists owners of small to medium size privately held companies in matters related to the value of their companies. He focuses on particular owner needs and works with other owner advisors such as business attorneys, CPAs, insurance professionals, investment advisors and bankers.  Mike focuses on the preparation of valuation appraisals, exit plans and mergers & acquisition advisory activities in relation to business sales, purchases of other businesses, and the capitalization needs of his clients.

Mike received his Master of Business Administration from Texas A&M University in 2004. He also graduated from the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University and received a Bachelor of Arts from John Carroll University. Mike is a member of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts and the Business Enterprise Institute. He is an Accredited Valuation Analyst and is currently a candidate for the Certified Exit Planning Credential (CExP). He also sits on the advisory board for the Executive MBA program at Texas A&M University.

Dustin Williamson is the Director of the Austin, Texas office.

Previously, he served as the Executive Vice President of Cross Atlantic Investors, LLC, the U.S. investment arm of Deutsche Structured Finance, GmbH. While at Cross Atlantic, he focused on transactions in the target areas of structured financial products, real estate & alternative energy; arranged and negotiated complex joint venture relationships in order to acquire and hold assets for the German closed-end fund market; and managed those joint venture relationships in order to adhere to business plans and proforma financial projections.

Before joining Cross Atlantic, Dustin Dustin was the Managing Director of an eight-figure private equity fund in Phoenix, Arizona. While at the fund, Dustin managed and invested in a diversified set of assets that included: private equity and venture capital interests, public debt and equities, Lloyd’s of London and mezzanine debt. Prior to this, Dustin worked for the Wasatch Venture Fund (a Draper Fisher Jurvetson affiliate) via the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation.

Dustin began his career in the Houston and Dallas offices of Arthur Andersen, LLP. He subsequently transferred to the Brussels, Belgium office where he performed outbound/inbound U.S. tax planning, transfer pricing consulting, and tax compliance for U.S. and European corporate clients.

Dustin received a Bachelor of Business Administration with a dual major of Accounting and International Business from Baylor University and a Master of Business Administration in International Finance from the Thunderbird School of Global Management. He is a Certified Public Accountant* and a Certified Valuation Analyst. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the National Association of Valuation Analysts.
